Our History
River Cities remains a family owned and operated business that began in 2007 by Mr. Don Carlson. After 35 years of being in the HVAC industry, Mr. Carlson decided to venture out on his own and started River Cities working out of his one service truck and performing service and installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The business evolved into one with great customers and great friends within a 45 mile radius of Savanna, Illinois.
In 2015 River Cities joined forces with Daikin manufacturing to be able to offer a full line of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning equipment. Daikin was chosen due to their strong customer product backing as well as their 12 year parts and labor warranty.
In 2018 the business was purchased by Eric and Shelly Christensen of Savanna. Eric and Shelly have continued to build the business with customer service and family values as their first priority. River Cities offers 24 hour service of all major brands of residential furnaces, air conditioners, and boilers. Along with providing service to their valued residential customers River Cities also offers service and installation of commercial HVAC equipment and commercial refrigeration equipment to the manufacturing, restaurant industries, and retail businesses. Duct cleaning services are also available.
Eric and Shelly have grown the business today to include a new store front customers can visit to view products first hand, to visit staff, and to ask any questions they may have. River Cities has a fleet of 7 vehicles on the road serving a 45 mile radius from Savanna, Illinois including Clinton, Miles, Preston, Bellevue in Iowa and Sterling, Rock Falls, Morrison, Mt Carrol in Illinois.
The River Cities future is bright and will be joined by Eric and Shelly's children Maddy and AJ in the years to come. The Christensen's devote much time and energy into the communities they serve and look forward to doing so for many years to come.
